Jak Massey
Executive Director
Jak is in the office M, W, F mid-day to answer all of your chamber-related questions while she helps keep the Chamber running smoothly.
Jak stays busy overseeing the day-to-day Chamber operations, managing member accounts and facilitating our all of our Member hosted events, such as:
- Maintaining the membership database and responsible for all chamber correspondence
- Managing reservations for use of the Chamber facilities (for events held during and after work hours)
- Organizing all aspects for our monthly networking events (Coffee & Commerce and Happy Hour)
- Scheduling and facilitating Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies (typically on per month)
- Publishing SCC Newsletter (the first of each month) and our SCC Bulletins (throughout the month)
- Attending City Council Meetings for regular check-ins with our local municipalities
- Participating in community events (through promotion and/or attending on behalf of the Chamber)
- Organizing meetings with our Chamber Ambassador Committees and our Annual Awards Banquet
She will always make time to meet with our members to review benefits, discuss partnerships and offer ideas for promotion. Supporting our business community is our priority. Jak’s passion to serve, advocate and encourage our local communities is reflected in her efforts and wants to ensure that those who join and/or renew membership with our South Columbia County Chamber of Commerce membership are getting a return on their investment.

Want to make a difference in our business community?
If you have a passion for local business and are a Chamber member in good standing, we would love to talk to you. Board positions are a three-year commitment and board members should expect to spend about 5-10 hours a month dedicated to chamber strategy and activities.

Chamber Ambassador Program
Our Chamber Ambassador Program is for Chamber Members who want to volunteer for the Chamber. Our 4 Committees assist with event support, marketing/member support programs, and maintaining the Chamber facilities. If you would like to know more and/or request to serve as an Ambassador on a committee, please let us know.

Board meetings and minutes
While invite members to join our meetings and become involved with the Chamber. The board meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 3:30pm – 5pm.
We are currently meeting via Zoom.
If you would like to attend a board meeting contact the Chamber office for the info.
Our board meeting minutes are available for review once approved the following month by the Board. To request a copy of these documents, please contact the Chamber office.
Questions will be reviewed and answered at the next board meeting. You do not need to be present, we will email you the response, however, we encourage members to attend our board meetings.
